Are you hosting a child’s birthday party soon?  Don’t you hate buying those party favors?  You know the ones that you hate when your child brings them home.  Nobody really wants to give the cheap yo-yo and noise makers away, but party favors are expected.  What do you do to make all the kids happy and still give them something that will last more than five minutes after they leave.  Good news, there are a lot of great ideas that will not only help with the party favors, but will make the entertainment in your party a lot more fun.

Every little kid likes stuffed animals, and even if they don’t, the thought of making one is appealing to almost anyone--old or young.  Going to the local mall and stuffing your own animal is a viable solution to those dull toys found on the party aisle, but it is not the only solution.  If you don’t want to go out you can have someone come to you.  There are companies now that will actually bring the stuffed animals and stuffing and all the rest right to your party.  This makes the party simple for you and lots of fun for your guests.

Little girls especially love to dress up.  Having a tea party is becoming increasingly popular for birthdays and other occasions.  You may be able to find an inexpensive tea set for the children to take home.  This gives them something that they can play with for a long time to come.  Normally tea parties are not as large as some other types of parties, so you may find that the price for this is affordable.

If you live in an area that has corn mazes and your child’s birthday falls in the autumn months, you might consider doing a corn maze party.  This can be a lot of fun and it makes party favors quite easy.  If you go in the evening, some glow in the dark necklaces or bracelets or even an affordable flashlight make the perfect gift for your party goers.

Have a tie dye party and let your guests create their very own party favor.  This may be better suited for older children or even teens.  Birthday guests can take home their own shirt when they leave, and you will have the main part of your entertainment already handled.

Easy parties at the big pizza or play places are simple in set up, clean up, as well as party favors.  Buying a large group of tokens for the play area and then splitting them up between the kids you have invited makes for easy party favors that most kids love.  Naturally, what they choose with their tickets later might end up being the same things you would have bought to put in the bags, but since they have been able to play the games, you can feel at least somewhat better when they go home with those noisy toys.

There are many ways to find great party favors and many of them are not much more expensive than those silly, plastic toys you find in the party aisle.  As with everything else, birthdays just take some creativity to make them extra special for everyone involved.
