Do you have a large Christmas list?  Maybe there are, among your friends and family, those who are difficult to buy for. Don’t worry, there is a gift out there for everyone, and with a little planning and creativity, you can find it. Let’s admit, it is going to feel good to see the look at that special person’s face when they actually like what they get!  So let’s figure it out.

To start off your Christmas gift you need to find a basket.  What type of basket and how large it needs to be will all depend on you and the individual you are buying for.  You can find baskets at thrift stores, online, craft stores, as well as other places.  How much you spend on them is a personal decision, but you certainly don’t have to go broke buying the basket.  If your gift is going to someone who just doesn’t seem to be the basket type, there are multitudes of other options.  Any container that will enhance the things going in it is acceptable.

Once you find that perfect container, it is time to decide on what you want to fill it with.  This is where you will actually have to put on your thinking cap.  Consider the person for whom you are making the gift.  What do they do in their spare time?  Do they have particular hobbies or interests.  You may have to really stretch your mind to figure it out, but eventually you will be able to come up with something that this person actually likes.  When you figure out what they like, you are ready to begin!

Many men have hobbies such as fishing, hunting or sports.  If there is a man in your life with these interests, you might want to fill their basket up accordingly.  Their Christmas wish list might contain a magazine subscription, a ticket to the big game, or even ammunition.  If he loves fishing, you might want to consider a tackle box rather than a basket.  Even a camouflage hat can be your container rather for the outdoorsy person in your life. 

There are lots of people who really love to take pictures.  If you know someone like that you might want to present them with a container filled with pens, acid free paper, stickers and a scrapbook.  This is a gift that will not go out of style, and you will be thought of fondly every time they pick up their completed album and thumb through the pages.  You just can’t go wrong with a scrapbook.

Maybe you have family that lives in another state.  Having the kids make some cards, hand drawn pictures and crafts can be the best gift these long distance loved ones can receive.  The nice thing about this is it means a lot but it isn’t expensive.  Christmas should be more about the people and less about the expensive gift anyway!

No matter who you have to buy for, a Christmas basket can be just the thing that will make them smile.  These baskets don’t have to be expensive or elaborate to be a touching remembrance of the one who gave it.  Of course, if you have a little extra money, you can go online and find baskets already made for those special people in your life.  Anything from chocolate to golf tees can go in a basket, so there is a little something for everyone.  Just remember that at Christmas, it is all about giving from the heart.  When you do that you won’t be sorry.
